At Rise and Walk Church, the Pastoral Care Ministry is of utmost importance; we consider it God’s divine mission for us. Pastoral Care is a compassionate ministry in which leaders and members provide emotional, relational, and spiritual support to individuals and families, both within and outside our church. It is our God-ordained responsibility to care for everyone who enters our church doors. The term “pastoral” comes from the Latin word for “shepherd,” reflecting the biblical idea of guiding, protecting, and comforting a flock. Pastoral Care is for every child of God in our church, beginning with our Pastors, Team Leaders, and other church leaders. We also train interested members and small group leaders to help facilitate the Pastoral Care Ministry and provide peer-to-peer support.
