Satan Hindered Us!

1 Thessalonians 2:17-18

But we, brethren, having been taken away from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavored more eagerly to see your face with great desire. Therefore we wanted to come to you—even I, Paul, time and again—but Satan hindered us.

The satanic limitations we see in the lives of many people today are a serious agenda in the kingdom of darkness. The devil and his cohorts have a plan to limit anyone they can find in this world. There are so many marriages that have ended up in divorce because of satanic limitations. Hence, whenever you see marriages going down, with no justifiable reasons, just know it is the devil at work. The number one thing the devil is looking for is to stop your joy. He doesn’t want to see you achieve anything in life.

Right now, there are people who have been at the same level in life for so many years, with no change of position. They have tried everything there is, but nothing is working. They hope and believe one day things will be fine. However, every year that passes, nothing changes. There is no trace of progress at all—it has now become a way of living.

Friends, when nothing is moving in your life, it feels more like you are carrying an enormous burden on your shoulders. You definitely get frustrated, disoriented, embarrassed, devastated, and disheartened. I believe there are so many innocent people today who have been waiting to see a change in their lives, marriages, careers, jobs, and finances, but to no avail. Why? It is all because of satanic limitations at work!

Beyond a doubt, when satanic limitations are at work, change may not even come to certain people. Why? That is because the devil is fighting very hard to make sure that no one walks in success. He will mobilize all devils, demons, and powers of darkness to fight against your joy, well-being, and prosperity. However, that can only happen if you are ignorant of your authority in Christ Jesus. The devil can’t prevail if you have enough spiritual understanding concerning your God-ordained dominion.

Ephesians 1:15-19

Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.

The powers of darkness are at the root of most of the setbacks and limitations that people, families, and ministries suffer. Sometimes you may not realise how true that is until God opens up your spiritual eyes for you to see. They will make sure that no one smiles or prospers in your family. Now, are you supposed to get scared of them? Not at all! Your redemption in Christ Jesus has set you above all devils and demons. Of course, the devil will try to stop your life from moving forward—that is his ultimate mission here on earth.

1 Peter 1:6-8

When things are not working for you after so many years, don’t keep on doing the same thing. Instead, stop and find out why. Most of the long-term and continuous issues in life are because of satanic limitations. The devil is behind them!

Thus, stand up, pray, fast, and wait upon God until He gives you direction. You can’t continue to experience the same level of results year after year and claim it to be God’s will. God wants the best for our lives—He wants to see us move forward with ease and speed.

Deuteronomy 1:6-7

The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: ‘You have dwelt long enough at this mountain. Turn and take your journey, and go to the mountains of the Amorites, to all the neighboring places in the plain, in the mountains and in the lowland, in the South and on the seacoast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates.

God does not want us to get limited in life—He rejoices in our progress. Hence, don’t keep quiet and fold your arms when things are not working for you. It is time to stand up to the occasion and fight your way to victory by God’s Word in Christ Jesus. Friends, things may be stagnant for a short time in your life as part of building up your faith. However, when they become perpetual and unbearable, it is another issue—don’t allow them! Tolerating satanic limitations is robbing yourself of your God-ordained destiny.

1 Peter 5:10 (AMP)

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be].

Let us examine the phrase in the above Scripture that says, “After you have suffered for a little while.” Look, it doesn’t say for a long while! Why? That is because perpetual suffering is satanic bondage, limitation, and oppression—so don’t accept it. If you’ve had a neck ache or headache for ten years, just know the devil is behind it and you don’t have to allow it. Many prolonged issues in the lives of people, even Christians, are the works of the devil. Your suffering, misery, and pain are the devil’s celebrations.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

The word moment in the above Scripture means brief, short-lived, temporal, a little while, and passing. Yes, our troubles must only last for a little while! God’s Word does not permit you and me to embrace sickness, disease, poverty, and hardship as our way of living. No! However, there is no one today who is exempted from the challenges of life. Then, even though they come, they don’t have to stay forever in your life. Hence, when you have a prolonged issue, even for 10 years, just know it is an oppression of the devil.
